SKDCC X emoji® Run for Charity 2018 aims to encourage publics to participate in running and outdoor activities, as well as embracing the nature. We also promote positive attitude in different life stages. The proceeds from the event will be used for the rural elderly service
Most of us want to live happily and healthily in the place we familiar with, especially in our old age. With this belief, Sai Kung District Community Centre develops a unique elderly service model in response to the special environmental restriction of Sai Kung rural area. We bring the services to the remote villages and let the elderly have the social and basic medical services without leaving their own place.
Sai Kung District Community Centre (SKDCC) has been serving in Sai Kung as well as Hang Hau rural area for over 47 years. We provide services for different age groups, from young child, teenagers to elderly. One of our belief is to let everyone in the society, regardless of their age, wealth or distance, have the same opportunity to obtain the social service they deserved. For instance, our rural elderly service implements “outreach to village” principle and bring the service to the remote villages. We make use of our local network and work with different profession to make sure the rural elderly live happily and healthily in their own villages.
